Google Analytics is a free tool with a helpful dashboard. It tracks a lot of metrics and gives you data. There are many concepts to learn and reports to run. It gives you an extremely in-depth look at your website and/or app performance. It integrates with all Google’s marketing products namely, Google Ads, Search Console, and Data Studio.

For a beginner, it looks intimidating and unconquerable because of all the data it lets you see. It is a good fit for you only if you have time. Sifting through a massive pile of data is cumbersome and marketers want to save time instead. Would it not be helpful if a tool sifts through all the data and tells you what you must do, like get actionable insights? Our search led us to Glance.

What is Glance?

Glance is a SaaS product, an engine that uses Artificial Intelligence to help marketers get actionable insights from all the metrics. Glance is an intelligent marketing assistant that helps you gain insights and find actionable opportunities from the data you received from Google Analytics.

It is now common knowledge that Google Analytics is complex and digital marketers do not have the time or resources to dig through all the data, consolidate, or interpret it in the context of the marketing funnel. Glance’s AI engine lets marketers get what they actually want. Actionable insights.

  1. Go to https://app.glance.se/signup and sign up with your email, password, and your full name.
  2. Once you log in, you must integrate the Google Analytics tracking ID to your Glance account.
  3. Give it a few hours to take in your Google Analytics data and let it work its magic.

The Glance account will keep tracking at all times and it will give insights on whether the actions you are taking are improving, getting the correct results or not. According to the website, the tool:

  1. Will let you grab opportunities like conversions, opt-ins, or sign-ins.
  2. Will identify action items and let you take action to improve website performance.
  3. Will watch out for trends and let you in on it.

How Actionable is the Data?

Glance will tell you what your data must actually tell you along with what decisions you can make. It takes any metric from any platform and crunches the numbers. As of now, Glance is available for only Google Analytics. We wish they can announce integration of other platforms.

Not only will it tell you what the data is telling, it will suggest actions you can take to drive traffic. Some of the advice we got from Glance are:

  1. If you tweak your mobile content, you will have a lot of engagement.
  2. You have a lot more audience on your mobile. Make sure your website is optimized for mobile audiences.
  3. Traffic on social media has gone down.

Here are a few insights we saved for this article.

When traffic on your website drops, Google Analytics would show a worm crawling downhill. Glance tells you that your traffic has dropped like a friend would.

The next card is stating what we always knew. That is, the mobile site works better and it pays to improve loading times. Our website saw significant improvement in visitors because we listened to what Glance said.

By now you know how the tool works. You do what Glance tells you.

Conclusion

As of now, we have not found any limitations to the tool. It is exactly what we wanted. While data is the new oil, insights are the refined petroleum product, I suppose. It is an extremely useful tool that has helped us improve website performance and tweak our content. Sign up with Glance and learn more about it. Let us know what you think of it.
